Rebecca Michiels
Short CV
Rebecca Michiels studied Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg. In 2013 she graduated with her master’s thesis about the mechanical stability of implantable electrode arrays.
Then she joined the lab for bio- and nanophotonics, where she works as a PhD student. The focus of her work lies on analyzing mechanical processes during the uptake of microparticles by cells. For her investigations she uses fluorescence and photonic force microscopy.
