Katharina Hoch began to study Microsystems Engineering at IMTEK in 2011. Since February 2014 she is assisting Frederick Pothof who is working on the design of novel neural microprobes. Katharina received her B. Sc. degree in 2014 with her thesis on the “Development and Validation of a Characterization Setup for Depth Neural Probes”. She graduated in July 2017 with her master thesis “Development of a Magnetic System for the Electrical Connection of Neural Implants”. Since then she is employed at the MML as a scientific assistant, still with a focus on neurotechnology.
