Benjamin Tränkle
PhD student
Benjamin Tränkle was born 1982 in Stuttgart and studied
physics at the University of Bayreuth. He spent one year at
the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. For his diploma
thesis, titled 'Shear rheology of a cell monolayer', he
went to Saarbrücken.
Since April 2009 he is a PhD student in the lab for bio-
and nanophotonics. He is working on dynamic interaction of
particles in oscillating optical traps, using 3d
interferometric tracking.
