Victor Chuman

After graduating as Mechanical-Electrical Engineer at the University of Piura, Peru, in 2010, and completing a one year Traineeship at the electrical engineering department of Tecnicas Reunidas S.A, Madrid, in 2011, I moved to Germany in 2012 to start working as a design engineer in the field of special purpose machinery manufacturing (Sondermaschinenbau). Since then I have gathered some experience in the design of the mechanics, electronics, and automation systems related to that field, working at Burger-Automation-Technologies GmbH, Nesselwang, and at Allmatic Spannsysteme GmbH, Unterthingau.
With the goal of working with smaller scale systems, in 2019 I decided to pursue the M.Sc. degree in Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg.
By the end of 2020 I joined the Bio- and Nanophotonics laboratory at the IMTEK, working as a HiWi on the design of an inverted microscope's autofocus system. Since April 2021, in the framework of my master thesis, I am working with Rotating Optical Coherent Scattering (ROCS) microscopy aiming to improve the amount of information obtained from the sample.
