Tobias Meinert
PhD student in the lab for Bio- and Nano-Photonics
Tobias Meinert has studied Microsystems Engineering at the University of Freiburg. For his bachelor’s thesis he worked on the implementation of different memory efficient methods for numerically controlled oscillators in the hardware description language VHDL. He gained his first practical experience in optics during his master thesis in 2012. In this context he developed a fiberscanner for confocal endomicroscopy.
Since 2013 he works on his PhD thesis in the Laboratory for Bio- and Nanophotonics. He investigates and optimizes the phase distribution of self-reconstructing Bessel beams in strongly scattering samples in light-sheet microscopy.
