Philipp von Olshausen

PhD student in the lab for bio- and nano-photonics

Philipp von Olshausen studied biophysics at the Technical University of Munich. After an one year exchange with the Université Montpellier he did his diploma thesis in the E22 biophysics lab in the group of Prof. Bausch. During his thesis he studied the "influence of entropic forces on specifically bundled actin networks".

In Mai 2008 he started his PhD in the lab for bio- and nanophotonics. His work aims on the invasitigation of cell wall dynamics by means of structured illumination and TIRF-microscopy. This work is part of the "bioss" excellence cluster.
