VitaKartmann, S. 2018

Sabrina Kartmann was born in 1987. She studied Microsystems Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc.) at the University of Freiburg with the concentrations Biomedical Engineering and Sensors and Actuators. From 04/2012 till 07/2013, she worked as research assistant at the Laboratory for MEMS Application in the “Non-contact microdosage”-group of Dr. Peter Koltay. During this time, the focus was on writing funding proposals and acquisition of a research grant for the subsequent PhD thesis. During her PhD at the Laboratory for MEMS Application (08/2013 to 12/2017) she working on a loop-controlled dispensing system based on an electromagnetic valve and a novel flow sensor.

In 2018, Sabrina Kartmann joined Hahn-Schickard and is heading the Autonomous Fluidic Systems Group. Her research interests are especially related to the development of new sensor technologies, non-contact liquid-handling technologies, embedded systems for microfluidics and volumetric measurement technologies for the sub-microliter range.
